Why does Tuyman paint the way he does? In one sitting, leaving just enough of the image for us to finish in our minds, leaving the end open, leaving us with a blank… Monochromatic, or washes.. here, I think, someone talks about the silence, the moment just before the storm.. I see the silence…
Considering the last post, here is the article interview where the Tuymans’ quote was taken. I’m not convinced that Eek’s work is at all similar to Tuymans, and wanted to explore abit. Eek’s work is more about painting and media.. off the top of my head.
